I just tried to use the NW code for a rental this Friday (8/12) and was given the following message:

-Coupon will expire prior to rental.

Great Discount!

Save $25 and get 400 Bonus Miles with United. Good on specialty car including minivans, SUVs and convertibles. Sunday thru Tuesday pickups. Valid 8/1-12/15/2005. www.united.com/alamobonus
Contract i.d. 7011276
Coupon # D19C

I needed one extra rental day in New Orleans over Labor Day weekend. Got a minivan booked for $11 + tax (less than $15 total) as this promo is good on as little as a one day rental (even though promo shows a 3-day minimum).

Try rate code QVW - don't know where I found it but it's $47.00 cheaper than the above rate for a weekly rental in KOA next month.

And there's an additional 15% discount for pre-paying the rental - use Rate Code PQVW.

FYI, If you go to Costco.com and select the "Travel," then "Rental Cars" you will be taken to the Costco/Alamo website where you can research whether that discount is worth it to you. You don't have to sign in to use the link. The Contract ID is 675899. If it's a great discount, it may be worth it to you to join Costco. (I LOVE Costco!)

Using that link and the discount code that appears on the first screen "click here to receive $25 off a weekly rental" (Rate/Product Code PBQW), I was able to secure a rate of $281.02, taxes included for a 6 day rental of a convertible (Chrysler Sebring) on Maui, Hawaii from 11 Nov to 17 Nov.

Using the contract id "PREPAY" (which means you have to pre-pay and you have a $5 cancellation fee) and the discount code PBQW, I got a price of $269.76. However, this quote didn't include one free additional driver, so I booked the former quote.

Using Costco's discount code and rate/product code BYEF3 (Save $10, I believe) I got a full-size car from the Honolulu airport for $29.73 per day.

Just booked a mini-van in Maui for 10/07 to 10/14 using the above info for $277.61! We didn't have to prepay and it included an additional driver. Thanks for the info!

If you're booking for at least 5 days, make sure to combine the AmericanExpress 15% off, with Alamo's $15 off: Coupon Code D42C. Through 5/31/06.

http://www.alamo.com/hotDealsTemplat..._15off_ecoupon

I was indeed able to get both discounts combined.

Try the link below, it'll hopefully have both discounts entered already.
