Kosher food Phoenix, Arizona to New York

I may be travelling from PHX to NYC in May '10 and have heard that many US airlines no longer serve kosher food even in First Class. Does anyone know if Continental or US Airways serve kosher food at all on this route, either in economy or in First Class.

Many thanks,
Michael

CO does not for Domestic it must be a Transcon to/from EWR and SAN,LAX,SNA,SFO,SJC,PDX,SEA that includes Coach as well.

Its not only Kosher but no Special meals at all if not between EWR and 1 of those listed. PHX,TUS,LAS dont get any, nor ONT since its not a non-stop to/from EWR

you can add HNL and I believe ANC to being able to get Special Meals

Dont know about US but my feeling is no special either

Ive only flown CO in recent yrs and UA both give KSML, heck UA had a KSML for me from ORD-EWR in FC

I would think AA would offer KSML , call them . Also remember you need to order at least 24 hrs before your flight time, I say 25 hrs to be sure. Now since AA has 3 class 767s the question is do they feed those in Biz

Thanks for the replies, but in the end I think we will be ending up in Las Vegas and not in Phoenix so we will be going LAS-JFK on Virgin America (and managing without food).

AA offer kosher in first and business on transcon ONLY - So JFK to LAX, SFO, SAN, SEA. Also MIA to SFO, LAX. Also BOS to LAX and SFO. I am not sure about LAS but may be worth checking if it is offered JFK - LAS.

FYI the kosher food is really quite poor (OK I am comparing to Harmolis) but IMO not worth changing your plans for.

Both locations have magnificent delis that ar every happy to pack you "airline" meals. I get to both locations a few time sa year and never have problem.

Except of course pastrami envy in FC..............

Kosher meals are available on DL Domestic (subject to meal service on the route). They can also be requested online @ delta.com.

Wouldn't go out of my way though, to book DL just because of the meal service.

Anything pre-packed by a restaurant will be far superior to what is provided as a first class kosher meal on US domestic flights.

In PHX, just pick up a Battle Burger and curly fries from Seigels on the way to the airport- far better than whatever kosher airplane food you'd get.
