Etihad AUH-BKK-AUH
Terrible Kosher meal, terrible service , I think the seat pitch is 29 Inches and the interior looks like my grandmother's living room.

Do you know which companies provided the kosher meals? I seem to remember Etihad giving Stogel (a blue box) or have they changed to WAM(pink and black box)? And was this economy or Biz?

Booked LGW-KBP-TLV, with Ukraine International, and had to pay an extra 14 USD for the kosher meal. The agent said it was on both legs, although I know from past trips that when booking just TLV-KBP or vice versa, no kosher meal is offered.
Anyone know what they serve ex-lon? Hermolis? Doubt it. Prob brought from Kiev, the same as they serve on KBP - JFK.

with then exception of a Hermolis meal ( and that too is airline food) I never really care what is served since its usually garbage and doesnt stay in me any length of time, and more and more I simply skip the meal. Hermolis is also frozen but at least in most cases Im able to consume it.
In most cases its basically rice or farfel or some other starch that takes up the vast majority of the meal, and you need to look very close to find any meat or chicken or fish. Even Biz isnt anything to brag about any longer food wise

I had my hopes set high and boy were they dashed
Meal was from an outfit I never heard of 'Kosher Kitchen- inflight delite'. the label had '1st Class' written on it maybe it was for a MegaBus trip.
anyway its an LA based company. No slip of paper to tell you what each item was eg roll is it a Ha Motzi or not. It did say Kemach Yishon/Pas Yisroel. It contain a couple of salads in a plastic cup go know what it was, 1 was humus There was a small piece of cake and not much else. The entree was from Kosh Air yeepi havent had that slop in a while, it was maybe 2 slices of roast beef in some sauce with rice (which took up the vast majority of the space) and looked like something youd get served if flying Intl in Y and not a Bis meal whatsoever. Plastic utensils and no dishes whatsoever
Happy I didnt pay for Bis but was UPed using some 500 certs
And I thought UA was bad, at least you get metal utensils and china and the entree isnt a Y entree

Fast forward to this past Sunday - I was quite dismayed to receive this scam of a meal in J on AA 193 to HKG. I've actually been pretty happy with Borenstein's J class catering on AA, so this was a real let down.
I'm still waiting for a helpful reply from AA

Has anyone ever received a non-fish meal on JAL coming from NRT? I got one once (albeit on AA, and it was chicken). It's been a few years since I've flown back from Tokyo, but I'm thinking it may be better not to request a kosher meal if it's going to be fish and just figure out something to take on the plane.

I had a terrible fish main on an AA flight from NRT to DFW in May. That said - the sides were pretty good and the breakfast was surprisingly good too - so probably worth ordering even if you ditch the main.
