Weekend extend

I was Gold Elite until I dropped to Silver Elite on 1 March. I booked a stay at a Radisson on the "weekend extend" 2 nights for the price of 1 offer when I was Gold Elite for 27-29 March. Now I am Silver Elite, will the 2-4-1 be honoured so I only pay £79 or will I have to pay £158? Does anyone know the answer? Thanks

Most likely not. The benefit is for GoldElite only and the gold card must be shown at check-in.

Do you actually have to show your card? I mean, they can't see your status on line at check in? this is so 90's LOL

would the existing gold card be obviously out of date if it was shown anyway?

I can't see them being so hot on making people present their cards, I'm 14 weeks into a silver membership and haven't seen my membership pack yet.

If you turn up and the try to make you lay the extra just argue with them (in a constructive way) you have nothing to lose and £s to gain

I tried the promo when signing up for my new goldpoints plus card, and it said that the code was no longer valid. Perhaps its better to sign up over the phone or via e-mail now?

I received yesterday a second Silvercard with same Number as on the first (which i received in January !).
It seems that their system is a little bit confused ...
And also most of the times you have to request the points. But then it works and sometimes they give you more points than you deserve

Will hopefully reach gold status in the next few weeks through the Orange offer. What do l need to do to maintain gold for next year?

How many stays/nights or how many points do l need to earn?
Is it a calender year?

Thanks in advance.

I got a response within 24 hours that it would take 3-5 days. Too bad as I had a stay last night. But, if it works at all, I'm satisfied.

Silver Elite status confirmed on Radisson website 24 hours later. Wednesday nights stay hasn't posted yet, so who knows, maybe I'll bet bonus points too.

I just tried using the code on sign up and it apparently doesn't work for Canadians...but I sent them an email telling them I travel to Europe and deal with Orange and asking them if they can update mine. Fingers crossed since I have 6 nights coming up in April and June and wouldn't mind another Gold membership...

I emailed them the link and quoted the promo code in my email last Friday and got an email on Monday that my account was upgraded. Now, just to book my stays. Thanks to the OP.

I submitted an e-mail on Sunday, received response indicating my enrollment Monday afternoon.

To thomas199023 - my email response indicated

"After your 5th stay you are eligible to get a fast upgrade to the Gold Elite status. This would normally take 35 nights or 20 stays. Please contact us after your 5th stay and we will process the upgrade for you. "

I received a very prompt reply and upgrade to Silver Status which provided immediate Silver benefits for a stay last week. My Silver Card was even waiting for me when I returned.

I am interested in working toward Gold Status with the five stays and have two questions that I hope someone can help with.

1. By when do these five stays need to be completed?

2. When will the newly acquired Gold Status expire?

Thanks for all help and advice.

New Gold, will I notice a difference?

I'll be checking into the Radisson in Glasgow on Friday and I was promoted to Gold late last week.

Will my change of status automatically update on my hotel records just as it has online? And also, does anyone know if it will make the slightest bit of difference to my stay (other than a few extra points when I check out)?

I'll be making use of the 2-4-1 bookings in a month or two (once I figure out how it works) but just wondered if it makes a difference in the meantime?

Ta, Jon
