As Orange operates in several european countries, I would try it. Or, call them, ask and report back here.

Does anyone know how I can print out a temporary Silver elite card?

and how long does it take to receive the actual card (in europe)?
I upgraded at the start of December (somepoint in the first week). I have yet to receive my card... Doesn't make me feel very special.

Guess I'll move some future stays to this chain from IHCG to get Gold but I struggle to see the real benefits just yet.

To recieve the benefits, you do not need the card at all. Just make sure you have the GPP No in your res.

Thumbs down IAPA Bag Guard

comes with the Silver and Gold Elite baggage tags-

When I recently had a bag gone missing, I had to discover that the IAPA insurance provided with this deal is not a missing / lost / delayed baggage insurance at all.
All they will do for you is to help you trace the missing / lost baggage.

When i logged-in with the customer id provided, it showed all insurance option valid till 2049...
Of course one can have all other insurance options activated for an additional annual fee.

Very disappointing.

Yeah, had a stay about a week after becoming silver and no problems were raised. It's just not that special when your new pack takes getting on for nine weeks to arrive.

I've mailed a chase up so we'll see what comes of that...

In my experience you rarely get anthin of value for nothing, especially the hotel chains.

works also here in Brasil

and also nice: got an upgrade from Standard to Deluxe room last week at Radisson Colonia d. S.

By the way: how long does it normally take until the points are visible at the account ?

4 for 2 and 2 for 1

Hi,

Is it just me or some of the hotels don't even make that rate available. I have checked all weekends for next 52 weeks on 2 of the properties I would like to use and there is not a single weekend where this offer is available.
The T&C states:

Offer subject to availability and valid at participating locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa except at Radisson® Edwardian Hotels.

So is there a possibility that a normal Radisson or Park Plaza hotel has decided not to participate?

Yes, it seems that certain hotels do not participate.
Which hotels were you looking at?
Also, Regent Hotels do not offer this afaik.

Asked Cust. Serv. Here is their answer:

Thankyou for your email. Gold points do not expire, only tier level (e.g silver, gold ect) and the nights/stays are calculated per calender year to determine your tier level.

Hope this helps.

Ah, the joy of Flyertalk. Had been considering joining GP+ for some time, but usually just credit stays to my QFF account for a nice 1,000 miles per stay.

Then I saw this post and literally within two hours I've joined, called the service centre, been 'promoted' to silver status and have re-booked seven upcoming stays – all on weekends, so I've saved decent amount of cash, and may now reap some further benefits with status.

Thanks entirely to Flyertalk and the good folk who inhabit the site. Cheers to you all!

ps. Stupidly, I've posted this on the wrong post – it's meant to be on the one about Gold in 5 stays – but the sentiment is the same, as is the joy I feel
