Al Maha Services @ Doah airport?

Hi all,

Im a *A gold and am flying Qatar. Ive found this service on Doah's airport website and wondered if anyone has used this service? If so, is it any good?

My friend and I are flying to Delhi from London, and have about a 3 hour lay over in Doah, so is it worth paying the small amount for this?

Any info on this would be a great help.

cheers

flew business on QR 006 to Doha and used Al Maha Services - it was useful- they great you in entrance hall and take you straight though to their own lounge- where they take your passports and Visa. You are allowed to relax an use the lounge as you wish (its small though). They then walk you straight through passport control - no ques.

But if i was paying for it- would have to say a bit of waste of money- so long as you can read signs at the airport- then you should be fine!

Is there anything to do at the airport? We've got a 3 hour lay over and I thought that relaxing in that lounge would be a nice idea. Is there anywhere to go and get a massage or anything like that? Everything seems to be in the Qatar terminal

Transit in DOH is pretty painless. I don't know what the charge for Al Maha is, but I think you would be better off paying to use the Oryx lounge in the terminal which is much larger and has food. There really isn't a lot to do in the terminal, but 3 hours is not too long to grab a coffee and wander through the duty free area.

All this is moot if you are flying C or J. In that case you will transit through the Premium Terminal.

FWIW
DLM

Quick disclamer, I've always used Priority Pass to get into the Oryx lounge, I'm not sure they have a pay for use service at DOH so you should probably check.

I have used Al Maha services a few times for me and some of my guests.
It was arranged via the local authorities.

BMW to welcome me at the plane, personal greeting, waiting in a lounge during security and visa check,... only problem is that the luggage arrived in the main terminal and the lounge was in an other building. That takes time to have your luggage (they take care of it).

I was able to receive a security pass to go with the BMW to welcome my guests at the planes (coming in a few different flights).

Excellent service.

Anyone with current pricing for the Al Maha services? We'd like BMW 7-series pickup at the plane, quick security/immigration and a drive into Doha. Then the same service on the way back.

It's very complicated and the al maha services is very sketchy about the variuos services and prices. You need to first register to get any detail and even after you register they do not give the full description of the services. Does anyone know a better way to get more information?
