Do Qatar charge for selecting seats

Thats a good question. I tried to make a dummy booking and before procedding to payment stage it says that you will have the chance to select your seats in manage your booking. So no clear information there. I do know that when you fly business/first you DO NOT get charge for seats but as for Ecocomy , I'm lost. Hopefully a good FT'er will have more knowledge

Yes it’s still the case... but shhhhttt don’t tell it. It’s one of the last airlines that doesn’t charge for seat selection in any class and I cross my fingers it will never change.
