Looks like the A350 on the BRU route has been pushed back to June 16th (June 1st originally).

I was very excited about testing the A350 on June 10th

Kind of sad there's no posts on here saying something like "Just got a plane change from 777 to A380 " lol

BRU-DOH-HND-CTS-HND/NRT-DOH-BRU in Dec 17.

I am banking on operational changes to make a date change.

Any chances that any changes would be made?

Too cheap to pay fare difference even after first flight is flown as I don't think there will be R fares available.

tycosiao so far in advance no one can say.
I repeat what has been said many, many times "Never choose flights for the aircraft type. You will probably be disappointed."

Are QR looking at keeping the 777-200LR on the DOH - AKL route for the foreseeable future?

tm84 at the moment the 772 is the only aircraft in the fleet that has the range. It is thought that the new A350-1000 may also have the range but as yet it has to be proved.

From the initial info published by Airbus, it looks unlikely. The route is just over 9,000 nautical miles. Airbus says that the 350-1000's range is 7,950; although presumably this could increase if the load is lightened. Airbus A350-1000 specifications page.

The route is 7800 nautical miles so on the edge of the A359 being able to operate the route but the 77L is better suited.

The A359 ELR will cover that range. SQ is the launch customer.

That's in statute miles. Nautical miles are about 1.15 statute miles, so the distance is about 7800 nmi.

Qatar Airways has officially announced that it shall be increasing its presence in the popular Bali-DPS market segment effective 07MAY17.

Currently, QR operates double daily nonstop flights on the DOH-DPS route catering largely to EU/UK passengers. However from 1st May onwards, frequencies shall be raised to triple daily nonstop using an A333 + B77W + B788 each respectively.

The new daily service is scheduled as follows:

QR 964 Dep DOH 1745 Arr DPS 0810+1 788
QR 965 Dep DPS 0930 Arr DOH 1405 788

Excellent news. And since they need to fill the seats, maybe the price will drop a bit. Currently the flights are usually about EUR 400-500 more than CGK flights (in J).
