Longest A320 segment for QR?

What's the longest current segment that QR flies with A320s?
Just wondering because we're on a A320 from Helsinki to Doha in October. 6h20min segment seems fairly long and I was wondering if this means they'll have the "new business" equipped planes on this route?

*edit - I use their A320 in short routes (DOH-DXB, DWC, etc) and while they're fine for such short haul, I would def not want to do a 6 hour flight on that, so fingers crossed that you get the new biz class config on your flight!

docjones the new \Super\ business class is due to be launched in November and it will take time for all aircraft to be converted.
What you may encounter is the longhaul A320 with lie/flat seats rather thn the shorthaul version with sloped seats. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...l#post26591973 for more details

I did GVA-DOH on A320 which had lie flats - think the flight is a little over 6 hours. Was absolutely fine - in fact one of the better QR flights we had as part of our holiday. Possibly because it was the start and the champagne was flowing...

I have done DOH-NBO in J albeit without the new lie-flat seats. It is 5hrs+ in both directions.

QRs definition of longhaul is flight time over 5 hours. However there are two factors that need to be considered.
1 the number of Longhaul A320s (9). See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...l#post26591973 for details.
2 Commercial considerations. That is where can the longhaul aircraft be used most profitably.

A320 to GVA is the one that surprises me, specially in the summer.

My GVA flight was in March. Just did a quick check and GVA-DOH has been assigned a 787 from 1st July onwards (until they change their minds at the last minute...)

Your flight will utilize the new A320 with the flat beds, similar to the current A330, A340 planes.

Maybe they'll deploy the freed long haul A320s to Helsinki =)

Update: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/finna...ing-hel-2.html
Someone had checked some flights and apparently Helsinki has indeed been allocated plane with the new business class.

Its worth noting that the same product, was used LHR-DOH on the A319 all J service.

I flew on it a few times, and found it perfectly comfortable.

I don't think QR sends the regional A320s with non-flat seats to European markets.

Qatar Airways is on the process of converting at least one Al-Maha Airways into the mainline fleet. So, lets hope for more flat beds to come soon to QR.
