What sort of meals can I expect when flying Long-Haul First?
The meals served are of a better quality than those served in Business Class.
This thread contains photos of actual Menus and/or Wine Lists as well as photos of the food and discussion about First Class food.
What is the menu for my flight?
Look at the index below and see if there is a recent menu for your flight.
There is no menu for my flight. What do I do?
If you are unable to find a menu relevant to your flight, find a QR flight which departs at a similar time to yours, and of a similar length.
Can I rely upon these menus being available when I fly?
No for a number of reasons
1 QR change their menus on a monthly basis, so you may be in luck and find the specific options for your flight.
2 Where there is more than one flight a day to a destination the menu varies according to the time of day. Who wants breakfast on an evening flight?
3 Menus may vary from destination to destination due to flight time, number of meals served, local culture etc.
4 Some flights may no longer have First Class. Longhaul First is only available on the A380.
Illustrated Menu index.
The index below contains Flight numbers and Route, Type of Document (Menu or Wines), Year and month it was served and the post number in this thread.

The beef consomme lacked flavour, and the dumplings not great.
The duck starter was absolutely marvellous, with 8 thin slices, topped with a slightly sweet salad.
The chicken main wasnt bad, but chicken is notoriously challenging to cook when you're flying. As such, it was rather dry, and the rice was overcooked. The sauce was weak and didn't add much flavour...the cucumber raita looked lost on the plate!
For dessert, I wouldn't recommend the fondant. I gave it a shot, but unsurprisingly it was overcooked. A fondant is hard for a professional chef to cook correctly, let alone a member of the crew who has very limited resources at his/her disposal.

F Menu from QR39 early May
The Gram Flour Pancakes were very nice, and far better than the 'Create your own' eggsperience.
The Octopus salad was horrendous - I'd recommend avoiding it, unless you've never eaten octopus in your life, and thus have no idea how it is meant to look/feel/taste/smell. Not a good dish.

Just makes me more disappointed that they have taken First off the evening flight from Bangkok to Doha as I would have certainly been on it and enjoyed the offer.
I know I could use my upgrade on the Doha Bangkok leg but it is wasted after the leg from Manchester to Doha
