What sort of meals can I expect when flying Long-Haul Business?
The Business Class meals served are of a far higher quality than those served by most other airlines.
This thread contains photos of actual Menus and/or Wine Lists as well as photos of the food and discussion about Business Class food.

What is the menu for my flight?
Look at the index below and see if there is a recent menu for your flight.

There is no menu for my flight. What do I do?
If you are unable to find a menu relevant to your flight, find a QR flight which departs at a similar time to yours, and of a similar length.

Can I rely upon these menus being available when I fly?
No for a number of reasons
1 QR change their menus on a monthly basis, so you may be in luck and find the specific options for your flight.
2 Where there is more than one flight a day to a destination the menu varies according to the time of day. Who wants breakfast on an evening flight?
3 Menus may vary from destination to destination due to flight time, number of meals served, local culture etc.

Illustrated Menu index.
The index below contains per Destination, Flight numbers and Route, Type of Document (Menu or Wines), Year and month it was served and the post number or link to the post in this thread.

I've done the F Menu one, and will do this one shortly - it will take a bit longer due to the sheer number of links that need to be crated.

Well done remdk

Has anyone been on the DOH/ADL flight? I am booked on it and wondered what the meal service would be for a 13 hr flight leaving in the evening and arriving late afternoon.

SEP 02 DOH-PER

They had Pommery 2002 Vintage in J instead of the usual Billecart Salmon

Menu was printed SEPTEMBER 2016 but they hadn't loaded it (apparently not received yet).

Rose was still the same as usual for J.

The wine list From JFK was interesting yesterday ( QR 704 )
As found by kimnkk , it sounds some sectors have a new J Champagne.
I enjoyed the Cuvée Louise 2002 , to me a nice upgrade from Billecart.
A very descent Bordeaux was replacing Smith Haut Lafitte.
Sadly the new Vouvray can not compete with Domaine Huet

Many thanks for posting!

Just out of curiosity, how did you space your meals on this flight? Lunch after takeoff, breakfast on landing? Or small bites to start, with dinner later on then breakfast before landing?

The mid-morning departure/early morning arrival of such a long flight is a bit strange. Really you'd need three meals given the timing...

In some flights i am in the " do not disturb / sleeping " mode , but it was 11h15 AM departure and i was not tired and enjoyed the Menu.

soon after take off i had a solid lunch.
i ordered the Chablis to pair with the Antipasti, then i had the gnocchi with the pomerol , and a cheese cake.
Some movies / drinks /light sleep and 3 or 4 hours before landing i had a dinner instead of breakfast.
This way i slept the whole next leg flight.

So they've gone from £80-a-bottle 1974 port, to £20 a bottle 10-year port? I thought standards were too good to stay that way. Very disappointed.

Yeah... sorry about that. I think I drank them out of the Kopke. I do miss it very much,

Pommery seems a step forward, albeit I'd love to see a really nice Rose on board.

Ahha! The culprit comes forth!

So, it looks like spending on liquor has dropped a lot since 2014. Now, I realise that cost doesn't always equal quality/taste, and also that the wines from the 2014 menu may have appreciated in value since then. But I compared the prices of all bottles from the June '16 Bangkok menu with the Feb '14 LHR menu I have. The average price of the 10 selections in 2014 was £34.40, compared with £25.20 for the 2016 menu.
While the Port went from a £79 to £25 a bottle, the champagnes cost in the same price range. However, the 2014 menu had several pricey wines, such as 2009 Chartron et Trebuchet Chardonnay (£38), 2007 Chateau Monbousquet Grand Cru (£40) and 2009 Tommasi Amarone Classico (£44); the only expenisive bottle on the 2016 menu was the 2008 Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte (£55), far more than the other £12-£22 bottles. It makes me wonder if the purchaser gets an average budget (which has been cut), so now they just go with one pricey bottle.
Out of interest, how is the 2008 Haut Lafitte?

I can't speak for 2008 Smith Haut Lafitte, but the 2010 they've served on a number of my flights been exceptional. So much so that I looked to buy some for home but couldn't find it anywhere for less than £95 a bottle.
