It seems like this won't last much longer, perhaps!

But I think NZ started a bad trend...which most other airlines have executed much worse than the original(s).
My thoughts too. A couple of the early NZ ones were OK, back when it was fresh and something a bit different. There was one on a beach in the Cook Islands somewhere that I really liked. But now the novelty has well and truly worn off and they just feel so tacky and forced, like something they have to trundle out every couple of months purely to keep up appearances.

Didn't the NZ ones start with the body-paint "nothing to hide" ones?

I guess that wouldn't catch on with QR.....

Just flew SIN-DOH. They did a manual safety demo on board. Quick, no fuss, and right to the point! ^

This was the case on my BKK-DOH flight, too.

I asked the F/A why and appearantly they do it manually to attract more attention.

I am not sure if it is a permanent change or just for the time being.

I was told by FA they do it for one month per year. For training purposes?
Of course, if that wasn't true last year, it may not be true next year either, as with many/most things at QR

It does become somewhat tiresome after some 30 times (in each language) now

Whilst in moan mode.... a change of music would also be nice.

TAXI !!!

I really found the video very annoying from the first time I saw it.
I actually like the boarding music. At night when I can't sleep I put on the Qatar music and get very relaxed very quick... lol
