This is a real shame, after my initial reservations I had grown to love this service.

I'm going out on a limb here, especially as many here hate the 'why don't they fly the xxx to xxx' type posts, but the All Business to LHR was unexpected.

But here's my wish list, and a massive advantage to QR... revert to two class, and fly to.. Koh Samui.

Easily within range, a destination EY and EK cannot fly to, and demands a premium over BKK / HKT. A once daily flight. After all a decent % of QR's passengers fly to USM via BKK. Could be the islands only non-Asian flight... and let's face it, plenty of premium passengers fly to Koh Samui.

That to me is very good news.... the 787 is a much nicer product IMO.

Great news, QRs 787 is currently my favourite J product - and in terms of connections, it has a perfect 1:30h connection to Singapore (departing 9:05).
I will certainly be making use of this ^

There goes the best bet for LHR J redemption availability. Always open, where 787 and 380 almost completely closed.

I booked QR16 for myself and 3 of my colleagues. Originally a 787, which we were all looking forward to, reserved our seats and thought we were all set. I then received an email to say that the AC had changed to an A319. At first I was a bit disappointed, but reading reviews it seems its a great service.

I get the impression its not normally full?

Due to the delays in deliveries of the A350, the 787 had to be used to cover some flights planned for the A350. That is why the A319 is staying on for a little longer. The 787 has 22 business seats while the A319 has 40 so unless they sell a lot more seats quickly it shouldnt be a full flight.

Ive flown on the A319 4 or 5 times, and it has never been full. The first few rows are usually quite busy, but further back it has been empty (so much so that on two occasions, my seat-mate has moved).

I did It once last March and the flight was absolutely rammed and thus felt rather cramped thus undoing some of the benefits of travelling in J! Albeit the service was very good
