Qatar Airways using Asia Miles

Qatar Airways using Asia Miles
If I flew Cathay I know that I would be earning Asia Miles. Is it correct that those miles can be used to fly QR? Does this mean that I should enroll my miles when flying QR in Asia Miles and not in the frequent flyer program (if there's one) of QR? Thanks.

To me not 100% clear what you question is.
QR is a partner of AsiaMiles for earning and using (awards) [OneWorld]
If you fly QR you can earn AsiaMiles, if an eligible booking class. A big "if". Some QR economy fares may not earn AsiaMiles.

sorry to thread hijack, but does anyone know how asiamiles treats QR regional F redemptions? looking to connect from DXB-DOH and then onto a long haul J flight. i'm guessing i'll have to either pony up the extra mileage for F or sit in Y for DXB-DOH?
