Hi hotlanta,
We flew CRK-DOH-CDG and return last July and our aircraft out of CRK was an A330-300 with first class. There were only the 4 of us and 1 other business class pax on the flight and they sat all of us in the first class seats.
To get an idea of the equipment used out of CRK have a look at the following website:
http://www.theqatarsource.com/qatara...tetracker.html
Mostly -300's some with F and some without with a few -200's. It is pot luck although for quite some time before out flight you could see when going into seating in our booking that it was a -300 with F class.
We then went on the A340 - ok, and 2 x 777 which we thought had an excellent J class product (not the same as the 787/A380 but still very good). We are hoping to go to CDG again this year on the A380 (out of DOH).
As for the 787 or A380 coming to CRK? My guess would be that the 787 is highly unlikely and the A380 never. Ever! Essentially both the MNL and CRK flights are economy for the OFW market.
In the end my advice would be to not worry too much about it as you are still travelling J class on an excellent airline for ridiculously low prices. All four of our flights were great on 3 different aircraft.
And finally, finally. The PTAA travel show is on this weekend in Manila 13-15 Feb) and Qatar are going to be there. We bought our flights last year at this show and they were VERY good.

Lounge in CRK is about 4 meters away from the gate and the lounge is a joke...
If you arrive early then you generally have to get them to turn the lights on / air-con etc
Don't know what the load is like though...

What are those letters and numbers on the last line?
can you also check the flight for QR005 DOH-LHR, same date?
On my ticket, it was indicated that the equipment will be a A332.
But when I checked QR's website, it's a 333.
btw, where did you find that info?

That line is the number of seats QR is willing to sell for a particular fare, so 6 seats in business J C D, 5 of which could be sold at the cheapest I fare. All the reaming letters are economy fares so they are still selling seats in every fare class except O which is probably a sale fare.

LHR 27/02/15 22:00

the clark-doha, Doha-clark planes have both changed from a330-200 to a330-300, the first being the 3 class type. is their a chance of getting an upgrade to F class from J if F is not full? on the return flight, as it is a two class plane, I don't think there's much/any difference between the a330-200 and the a330-300 except that the 300 has 5 rows in J (the 200 has only 4 rows), correct? Thanks.

You can't get an upgrade to F as QR doesn't sell F on the CRK-DOH route. So F can't be full.
If Y is overbooked they might move people in business class to the F-cabin and the status pax in Y into the J-cabin. (They will still be served Y-food but get better seats.)
There is a difference between the A330-200 and A330-300. Some of the 200 have a refurbished J-cabin. The 300 doesn't.

I've been noticing that flights for this sector DOH-CRK, hence, CRK-DOH is always delayed the past 2 weeks. Whereas before this, it's always on time or a bit early. Is it because of the passenger load?
I'm a bit concerned because of the transfer time for my connecting to LHR will be compromised. If I miss my connecting, the next DOH-LHR flight will be on the next day.

I just noticed now, my CRK-DOH-LHR uses the same aircraft for the two legs. So if the CRK-DOH flight is delayed, then the DOH-LHR is automatically delayed too.
So, will QR push back the boarding time for the DOH-LHR leg?
