Virgin Atlantic or QR miles?
Sorry if this has been asked, but I'd really like some help.
I have about 50,000 Qmiles however, I am shortly travelling MAN-JHB return with Virgin upper class. I am a member of the VA Flying club but have no airmiles - all having expired before I had enough to go anywhere!
Would it be possible to credit the VS Flying club miles I will get for the above flight to QR? I would be more likely to use QR then VS n the near future.
If this is possible do you just present your card at checkin? Or how would I go about this. Would I be credited with the same amount of miles as if it was a QR flight?
Thanks for any help

Oddly, QR no longer shows as an airline partner of VS:

However, the ARE a partner on the QR website (and 150% miles for VS Upper Class):

Alternatively, if you are aiming to collect miles in a OneWorld programme, you could add miles to a MH Enrich account:

Hope this helps.

I really don't know, I am afraid. If you haven't added a frequent flyer number to the booking yet, maybe you could try at check-in to add your QR number?

I'm not entirely sure, but this may mean that you can earn Qmiles when flying on VS, but you cannot earn Flying Club miles when flying on QR. So like there's not miles earning eligibility reciprocity -not that this makes any logical sense, but that's how I read it.

Hopefully, your plan to collect QR miles on VS should work but I would recommend double-checking the QR Privilege Club number has been entered each time you check-in and keep your boarding passes until the miles credit properly (and maybe worth printing the relevant section of the QR website in case it disappears later). Enjoy Jo'burg (hoping to be passing through there again soon).
