Arrival and Pre-Arrival Lounges
I am looking forward to my first of several flights on QR next week and was reading on the HIA website that arriving QR premium pax can visit these lounges.
From reading this forum, it is quite clear that the Al Safwa and Al Mourjan lounges are not ready for prime time so I am curious if anyone has visited, and would care to comment on, the new Arrival and Pre-Arrival lounges. The reason for asking is whether a transit pax with a long layover would be better off utilizing the Arrival Lounge for an extended period and then going back airside before departure instead trying to deal with the issues at the airside lounges.

Nice! +1 ^
On the HIA website, this is the reference:
Relax in the Qatar Airways Pre-Arrival Lounge Just before Immigration there is an exclusive lounge for Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers. It offers a chance to relax and freshen up. Facilities include a smoking room and complimentary buffet. - See more at: http://dohahamadairport.com

Arrival and Pre-Arrival Lounges
Just before immigration exiting to luggage belts, I walked into an area marked for F and J passengers to the far left of the passport control area. There, in front of the plusher (read lower counters) passport control desks area, lies what must be said lounge.
Sofa seatings, snacks and drinks, papers and magazines. Didn't hang around to check it out as I wanted out of HIA due to late evening arrival.

I was reading kir's link and somewhere in there http://dohahamadairport.com/airport-...ium-travellers
it's mentioned several times
Business Class passengers will be welcomed by a concierge and directed to the Business Class check-in area, which offers 16 dedicated check-in counters. Once you’ve checked-in, you’ll be escorted to an exclusive area with its own passport control counters, e-gates and security check lanes. After you’ve completed immigration and security formalities, you may then choose to enjoy the hospitality of our Oryx Lounge (QR 140 per passenger or complimentary access for eligible passengers), or if you’re a Qatar Airways frequent flyer, you can relax in the Gold Lounge or Silver Lounge depending on your membership tier. Please ask at an information desk, or use our airport map to find your way. -
I read this as business class doesn't get free lounge access?
