The fleet type codes such as 77P or 77K are what can be used to identify the type of aircraft under "Check Routing" on www.qrcargo.com. The aircraft type on QR Cargo is fairly accurate if you search for a flight within the current calendar month.

Can someone help how could I tell if the 777-300ER is 24J or 42J?

I believe qrcargo.com has taken away the code 77W, 77I, 77P and 77J long ago, now showing only 777!

Thank you very much.

flyvirgin the only way is to use the list of registration numbers on the Wiki for this thread. As far as I can see the only unknown is the two aircraft (A7-BAB and A7-BAI) that have not yet been converted to ten across in Y. There may be other unconverted aircraft that I have missed.

Just to clarify the obvious, have you tried looking at the Seat Map through Manage My Booking on the QR website?

If you have, and it is showing as full, or not showing because of the same reasoning, go onto expedia.com and make a dummy J booking.

Through the booking steps, you will be offered the chance to see the cabin map - which will thus indicate to you whether it is a low or high J 777.

Safe travels,

M

If you go to QR Cargo and click on "Check Routing" rather than the timetable you should be able to get the codes. I believe 777 is now the code for 77W (42J 9 abreast Y version).

Thanks everyone for the input.

The answer above seems to suit my question most, since I am looking on the 4 777-300ER-operated-flights on BKK-DOH sector so I don't really know which one is 42J/24J.

Is there any reason why the wiki doesn't include links to aircraft Q&A threads such as this one? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...seating-q.html

Yes, my guess is that the roll out will start next year along with the new Business Class.

Worst Aircraft - ADC (A320). We were on this plane NBO DOH on Wednesday in J. Have never seen a plane so old - seats had old manual functions, no adjustable headrest, toilet light did not work properly. Could not believe for a 5 Star airline, they still use these aircraft on 5 hour routes.

Service and food was excellent.

It has been long time since I have logged in to flyertalk. I wanted to ask if anyone know how many A330s are still with the old livery? Thank you

Welcome back tokyolyon Long time no see (hear)!
That sort of information is not available on this forum, Unless N1Rotate has is hidden away somewhere - Sorry! But it should be available on TheQatarsource.com.
I may be being selfish but I would rather spend my Saturday afternoon doing my Christmas baking, ably assisted by my grandchildren, than ploughing through a website after information. By all means tell us your result.

I'm now totally confused. Genuinely trying to follow along with this. I'm flying in a a330-200. According to the wiki above there could be two types of business class seats - minipod or diamond.

Am I right that it definitely will be flat bed? Are the diamond seats the same as the 787 ones?

thank you!

bigRW the minipod and diamond seats are both lie flat seats. As stated on the Wiki on this thread there is only one 3 class A330-300 with sloping seats and an A330-300 is not an A330-200.
The 787 seats are Super Diamond not Diamond.
