Back in June Business Traveller reported that LHR and CDG would be the first two routes operated by the QR A380 (with presumably LHR being before CDG)

But in September a QR press release confirmed it would be a European destination but that the exact city would be released at a later date... Classic QR!

I really can't wait for the new airport to open, because if HIA is anything to go by, we will be hosting the 2027 World Cup!

As to whether or not the QSDs will appear on the 380, you will have to wait and see...!

QR does not offer the Cirrus J seat on the 787. The seat is actually called the "Qatar Super Diamond" and you will see that it is much more aesthetically pleasing and elegant than the Cirrus.

This article seems to say otherwise.

Al Baker confirmed to Business Traveller last year (see online news, December 2012) that the upper deck of the A380 will be fitted with eight seats in first class - the only aircraft in the next three years that Qatar will fit with first class - and 52 business class seats, along with a lounge area and a small economy section.

CDR = Critical Design Review, the mock-up seat is inspected
TSR = Test Seat Review, the test seat is inspected
FAI = First Article Inspection, the final seat is inspected and last minute refinements are made
LOPA = layout of passenger area, the seat and galley plan

Well YouGeeElWhy... Al Baker confirming "...that the upper deck of the A380 will be fitted with eight seats in first class.." might just be another reason to think (for some of us) that the F-class will be located at the lower deck...
