It's quite simple, if you were traveling DOH-BKK C class you would have been given C class boarding cards at check-in, Manchester. These are normally the only documents required for access to the Premium Terminal in Doha.
If you produced these when asked to, as all C class passengers are required to do when entering the PT, that should have been sufficient. If QR ground staff made life uncomfortable for you after confirming you had the correct boarding passes then you should submit a strongly worded, polite & factual complaint via the QR website.
