Where to earn miles when flying QR
I am flying KHI-MEL-KHI in QR J class (fare class D) and i do not want to use the QR privelege club as i believe their program is not upto scratch. I am Virgin Australia velocity Silver but they are not partners so i cannot earn miles with them.
I have requested United to status match me to Silver on their FF program as they are *A and i can use their miles on SQ, TG etc.
Will i earn Status credits (or the equivalent) with UA when flying QR?
Is there another program i should join and earn miles on when flying QR?
Any assistance would be appreciated

Only QR unless it another Airline but QR operates it.
For example sometimes BMI flies out of Abu Dhabi to London, but they code share it with Etihad and therefore you might be able to get status miles out of Etihad.
QR only offers miles to other programs otherwise. From my understanding.
