Qantas.com Timetables - New Features

Was browsing the timetables on Qantas.com and have noticed they have made some major changes. These include (but not limited to):
  • QantasLink is now represented by the "red triangle" (no longer the green square)
  • Now possible to see return flights on same page (i.e BNE-PER-BNE)
  • New Weather, Destination Guide, Inflight Entertainment and Travel Classes button links at the bottom.
  • Popups - After selecting a particular flight, details now come up in the form of a new popup (one that doesn't open in a new window).
  • Flight numbers are now displayed to the right hand side of the page

Anyone like the changes? To be honest, it's a tad confusing now that QantasLink is represented by the red triangle. Other than that, it's nice to see some work has been done to improve the all important timetables.

Qantas - Timetables

Cheers

I like it - it is a lot easier to follow.

Still a pain that the QF flights operated by AO still show up as "Qantas codeshare"

Hopefully it eventually fixed as well

So does Jet Connect.

I like the changes - except still can't see operating a/c type without making dummy booking.

Must have been implemented late yesterday afternoon.

Edited to add - on daily timetable you can see a/c type through mouse over flight number, but not on weekly timetable. I guess that makes sense if there is a chance a/c type may vary by day of week.

As with the old weekly timetable, a mouse-over of the QF triangle/tail symbols will show the aircraft type. In fact you can click the page just before the first such symbol and hit the tab key to move along them.

It looks to me that for these new pages; some of the coding for the online booking engine has been reworked for this table.
