Actually the old non-Schengen/International lounge was not too bad. I remember having a pleasant time there waiting for a DUB flight three years ago. It was very empty and the staff I found to be very good. As for the old domestic lounge, anything had to be an improvement on that broom closet!

TIP (Tripoli), Libya
Lounge name and type - Rehab First & Business Class Lounge
Access rules Only for J pax. WPs/SGs should ask for an invitation at BA check-in as this is a contract lounge facility.
Facilities Lots of moth-eaten sofas, soft drinks, some fairly unappetising snacks and numerous framed portraits of Gadaffi. Prayer room and smoking cubicle. Sometimes a couple of PCs (these have disappeared and re-appeared on various visits) but even when they do work, the internet doesn't.
Misc. Pax are escorted directly from the lounge to the departure gate when it's boarding time.

Lounge name and type - Stockholm-Arlanda Finnair Lounge
Access rules Standard access rules.
Facilities Spacious lounge, contemporary Scandianavian decor, good selection of booze, smoking room. WPs (and other OW Emeralds) will be given the code to the separate Platinum room, which although smaller has slightly better wines and can be quieter.
Misc. As of August 2006, the lounge is staffed by a contract partner, rather than AY personnel.

What a fantastic thread, thanks for all the work. It would be very useful to include WiFi information for the various lounges (i.e. is it available and does it cost money). Are you all interested in the various US domestic Admirals Clubs? If so, I'm sure many of us can add to our post count...

And yes, please do post about domestic ACs if you like - large majority of people here who get lounge access under the status rules (i.e. all non-AA etc Saph.s/Emeralds FFs) get domestic AC access when in the US... and anyway, the more info the better ! ^
Is there much to say about many of them though ?!? (I can see it now... "Actually, this one is NOT a dump !" )
And great idea re. WiFi... I'll add it to the OP and will try to remember it for future posts.

BOS (Logan Airport, Boston, Massachusetts, USA)
Lounge Name - Admirals Club
Access rules Standard access rules.
Facilities It's not all a dump, really. After presenting your credentials, pass to the right of the desk and go into the farthest room in the back. Still looks like a dump, but turn right, go through the door marked "additional seating" and the floor magically turns to marble. This is the former Flagship Lounge (First Class) section which is now a part of the regular AC. It has nicer furniture and is generally quieter than the main section. Otherwise, this AC has showers (in the nice section), the usual staffed bar, work cubicles, and lack of free food.
WiFi - The whole airport has "Logan WiFi" for a fee and won't allow the usual T-Mobile in the AC. You can, however, connect to T-mobile through one of the wired ports in the computer cubicles. Use your own cord or ask at the front desk and they'll loan you one. Sometimes, they'll even throw in a free T-Mobile day pass if you ask nicely.
Other - Not sure about (non-AA) elites, but for lowly paid QP members, they usually won't give you your two drink chits unless you ask.
According to this thread (I haven't been to the airport since last week) the two sides of AA are now connected at BOS so the following is of historical interest only:
Also, if you're flying from gates B22-26, aka Siberia, it's hard to access the AC unless you've got lots of extra time to clear security twice. These gates, which service regional jets to NYC, WAS, and others, along with the odd mainline flight, aren't yet connected airside to the rest of the AA gates, and there's no longer a bus connection either.

Facilities Small but very comfy little Terrace lounge. Basically one room in a few sections, with full food and drink options, a few seating areas, TV area, 2 computers, mini library etc, and a smoking lounge.
Bad features Can get very full, as is small despite frequency of flights. Toilets are public ones you have to leave the lounge to use. No luggage holding spaces/area. No showers.
Misc. I almost always see someone famous/well known/a British politician etc when in the lounge and then often sit next to them on the flight to London !!!

Hi,
Good review but now there is no smoking lounge ( due to the scottish executive's ban on smoking in public places)- the smoking lounge is now used as a storage area. ( would also apply if there was a smoking lounge at BA GLA terraces)
Now there are two additional seating areas beside the main concourse.
Regards
