.... firstly, I thought I would introduce a practice I have become accustomed to in other fora for making it clear when I am talking about something which should be clearly identified as either OFF-TOPIC or as something specific. In aus.rail, we use [STATE] to identify which state in Australia the post will be directed at, and so on. Hence, the [JQ] in the topic. I implore other posters to do the same, so that DeathStar posts can be easily identified.
Have just had a look at the new uniforms. Pics located at the SMH report report.
All I can say is, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? They would have to be some of THE most garish and crass uniforms I could imagine. You would not see me in ANY of them (particularly that black skirt! )
A first year fashion design student could have come up with better.

I don't see any need for this at all. As long as a subject header describes what it is about , I see no reason to make the headers less readable
I kind'a like the compulsory "off topic" nature of the QF Board - and the way the threads weave all over the place without complying with a strict title. "Go your own way" - but then again, look what happened to that logo...

So that's why they've got the extra wide WHY seats. Once those characters start doing the safety demo the passengers will think it is some sort of '70's cabaret act and start peeing themselves and splitting their sides laughing.
It had to be a conscious decision much like when Mother wore that mini skirt with the Bo Derek pube job (with extensions of course) - stand out in the crowd! Look at moi...........

Can't see how it would make it less readable. And I like a certain aspect of a topic such as "Oh dear...." - it entices you in to have a look without revealing anything about what is inside (about like GoldFlyer's mother, in a way). The [JQ] is just to differentiate between Qantas and DeathStar topics.

It doesn't help either imo and makes headers less readable.. What is easier to read "Arn't Jetstar uniforms bad" or "[JQ] bad uniforms" . To start also trying to suggest that a thread with a title with [JQ] in it is only going to discuss Jetstar is risible imo. How often do threads stay on topic here ?
Also, rather than trying to tell people what to do, you could also have put forward the issue as a suggestion to try and get peoples views on such a change. Just because other boards you may use have such approaches does not mean that people here are going to agree with it as well as not being a norm on any other fora on this board.
LOL have fun Vander, may I suggest Sunglasses and BYO sickbag
