How could the questions be so bad?
Why did not you ask some one who knows a least a little bit about the QF freq flyer program?
"Domestic Lounge Access on arrival incl 2 guests" is not "benefit of Qantas Frequent Flyer". Is only for Plat status, a small subset of Qantas Frequent Flyers. Bronze & Silver QF ff can not access lounges on departure or arrival but the question infers they can (as a member of the QF ffp).

Because every year, someone with little or no knowledge of the scheme decides what people are allowed to choose as being the best feature - rather than encouraging discussion within those that use the forum to come up with a list
(btw the question cannot be inferring, it is implying )

Why not actually ask the users to come up with what may be good rather than 1 person? - the forum has 1 moderator, not a team
As far as the other post goes - bronze and silver members cannot access the lounges at all. Lounge access on arrival therefore is not a scheme benefit per se, just a benefit offered to a small percentage of members

As long as a benefit is available to some members of the program, it goes into the poll. It need not apply to everyone.
This is the only way it makes sense. If you believe elite-level benefits should not win because not everyone can use them, perhaps you're right -- but if there are enough Elites voting, or enough non-elites who believe that's the best benefit, it WILL win, fair and square.
This is always the way the FTAs have been, and it works, guys.
Cheers!

I'm struggling to understand how the poll methodology for either the favourite schemes or favoured scheme attribute would provide anyone with any data or conclusions of any value whatsoever.
For reasons already mentioned by Mwenenzi and Dave Noble the poll of favourite scheme attributes based on a limited pre-selected choice of attributes and those which may or may not apply depending upon status, is a non starter.
The poll on scheme of choice will be co-dependent on variables such as location, availability of alternate carrier services at city of residence, etc.
It is unsurprising that QF folk would favour lifetime status given this is the most obvious attribute that isn't offered by the obvious alternative in Australia, namely, Virgin Australia. That is since status credit earn on any seat awards was ditched a couple of years ago (and why any seat awards probably shouldn't even be on the list any longer). This seems to be reflected in historical poll results - any FT QF regular could have probably come up with such a conclusion in seconds from personal experience.
The summary data from previous years do not appear to record sample sizes: are the results of this poll for QF going to be based on only 5 responses?!
The FT community itself may be very unevenly or atypically distributed in terms of geography, existing status, etc.
IMHO there may be much of interest behind the questions of favourite attributes and schemes - surely (as Dave has suggested in poll design) the answers lie within discussion rather than a superficial exercise in biased data collection and superficial analyses? Such discussion at least to guide the design of the poll.

"Any seat awards" no longer exist.
There is "points and pay" which values a QFF point at maybe 0.7¢ ...

i seem to recall that ONE year it was done in a manner of a thread being started where people could make suggestions and views taken and then the list for a poll was chosen
Now it seems to be a process to try and tell people what are the best features and then voting on this list - which can ( as this one does ) include non existent benefits or those limited to a tiny subset of members

The best benefit of the QFF program is that they are a member of One World.
IMO everything else is based on what status you have with them.
