Optimal programme?

Old man is flying business class GLA-SYD-AKL WEL-PER-GLA and ticketed by Qantas but operated by Emirates except WEL-PER sector which is Qantas. He'll redeem any miles in UK and wondered how to optimise his use of Emirates/Qantas or BA card to collect miles/status?

Thanks

So these are QF marketed flights (QF flight numbers) operated by EK, other than WLG-xx-PER (QF opereated).
There is no such thing as Emirates/Qantas card. Is a member of the EK ffp or the QF ffp? And he is a memeber of the BA ffp?

As he lives in UK better to credit to BA if that is his main ffp.
http://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/...-avios/flights Click on QF
Qantas (QF) Including QantasLink (QF) and Jetconnect (QF)
Executive Club Members can collect Avios on the following flights:
<snip>
- flights marketed by Qantas or Qantas Airlines affiliates and operated by Qantas, a Qantas Affiliate, BA, another oneworld carrier, or another third party under a codeshare agreement

Obviously no-one is going to credit the miles to Qantas if they have an alternative.

But the question is, can you credit a QF marketed flight on EK metal to another Oneworld program? What about crediting to AA?

Yes for the AA ffp for a QF marketed EK operated flight. Is stated in the t&c's.

Yes I think this is covered by the phrase bolded (for BAEC):

Thanks for the replies - I have re activated his BA account (nearly forgot to do so!) and added it to the QF booking on Emirates (and Qantas domestic) metal. All the best Angus
