Upgrade to Y+ / J on a EK codeshare
I have a saver Y fare ticket from MEL to DXB on a Qantas flight but under EK codeshare (ticket issued by EK). Is it possible to upgrade the seat to premium economy or business? I have zero experience with Qantas so little help is appreciated - thanks.

Not possible.
You can only apply for an upgrade on a QF marketed flight (QF flight number) operated on a QF aircraft on an QF eligible ticket with QF points. Not all QF fare/tickets are able to be upgraded.
Any way the odds off winning the QF upgrade lottery are low
