Now back at work and hoping that the RGM and I can talk - at least I know that our "whiteboard" entry has moved from the planning phase. Now to hear the details and pass onto everyone here.

Okay, just got off the phone from my QF contact. Whilst final details are being ironed out with QF Engineering, he has confirmed that on Sat 21st he has arranged a Hanger Tour (of Hanger 3). We could get either an aircraft doing a major service or perhaps an A330 doing a conversion
The RGM is also looking to invite the new QF Airport Manager as well as Red Roo.
HOWEVER there are some stipulations:
1. Number must now be limited to 25. I have now got numbering going on the first post
2. Existing people who are confirmed attending (Gold) are first in line
3. People who are Silver are next in line, but must confirm attendance by 1 week before the event, lest you lose your position
4. Those who aren't in either list and now decide to confirm attendance - if your number on the list is 25 or under, you're in. If you are number 26 or above, you are the waitlist (hoping others will pull out)
5. For everybody attending (due to the obvious security issue), QF Engineering WILL require you to have photographic evidence of identity (Drivers Licence, Passport etc). If you turn up without it, no tour and you'll be cooling your heels - its a long walk back!!
Due to the fact we need to ferry attendees to the site, we will probably get a couple of cars (mine included) to pick people up who are flying in and drive you over. Due to existing flight bookings, the earliest we could start the tour is 2pm, so the AGM drinks & nibbles (normally 3pm) will be delayed until after the Tour. Thankfully, the earliest departures at the moment are 7.10pm, so we have time up our sleeve.
So who's in...and who's out (in the words of Project Runway)...

Good news QF WP.
I guess I can come along. Please upgrade to me to CL P1 DYKWIA Elite Plus.
I haven't booked flights yet, but will look to do so soon. (I may be coming direct from SIN).

Well penegal, you can always head off to the Brekky Creek for lunch, I just don't think many others will be joining you (which would you prefer to attend )
So it may be either people eating lunch at home/on the way (for SEQ based attendees), onboard (for those flying up) and/or at the BNE QP prior to the event.
Here are the destination details -
Main Myrtletown Rd, Brisbane Airport, QLD 4008

Correct. Consider it booked (Subaru Forester). I'll be looking to ferry 3-4 pax per trip, so will be starting around 1.15pm. We may have the RGM (and Airport Manager) already at the destination to Meet & Greet. I'll do a continuous loop until everybody has arrived

All noted. Thank you QF WP.
IMHO BC has gone downhill, so the tour followed by the QP hospitality should make for a nice afternoon.
From a safety perspective it would be better for attendees to be "sober" when at the maintenance facility anyway.
Looking forward to it
