Qantas First Class - what routes?

Been looking at First Class flights from Hong Kong and the west coast of the US to either Melbourne or Sydney next year and only seem to be getting offered Business class.
Sure I read something about them dropping First on some routes of cutting back, so is there a definitive list of what routings still have it?

Added: Did find something about pretty much everything to Sydney being 3 class now although did find 1 flight with first class, the other 20? business or below.

Note that you can still get the old F 747 seats on the unrefurbed 747s (about 9 of 18) that will gradually leave the fleet over the next few years.

Most routes are daily but some are not. For example SYD-HKG has A380 F 4x weekly, and 747 F 3x weekly, for at least one iteration of the timetable -- be sure to check multiple days of week if you don't find F on a particular route. Some would consider 747 F to be J equivalent and a disappointment on this route. Sometimes there are also one-off substitutions (aircraft substitution in the timetable for a specific date, often with a change in departure time, which seems to be a QF specialty). Finally it sounds like you are looking for awards, and those are blacked out on certain dates unless you have WP status but may be released closer to the travel date.

Are there any first class particular seats on the QF128 from HKG-SYd that are better than others?

No different to any other A380 flight in F.. Flying solo the A seats are better as less foot traffic. Personally I don't like 1A due to proximity to the toilets and curtain.

No Bad seats - many go for 3A.

I like 1A personally.

Do they offer F class on the 744 or they are now all converted to 3 class now?

I went for 2a due to the toilet near 1a. Hopefully that's the right side for the best views.

Qantas First Class - what routes?

I am booked on qf107 to lax and JFK next week. It's showing as an A380 with F availability. Is this right given the post above?

I assume you're talking about Tuesday. It does look like 107 is an A388 SYD-LAX with F on sale and then a 744 from LAX to JFK with no F.

There are only 3 744s left with a First cabin (VH-OEB, VH-OJL, VH-OJM).
