Thanks for the info.
In J would you choose new 738 or 767 for SYD-AKL?
Which do you think would be the best seat in new 738? First row or further back?
Thanks. WLGNZ

I think I would choose the 738 for entertainment as the seating is the same as domestic 767 and although not as good as dreamtime, SYD-AKL-SYD flights are 3.30 at their absolute longest, and TT customer satisfaction has been up since Jetconnect short haul began operating most of the flights - this is in all areas of customer focus, no for hard product.

To me, row 1 actually provides the best overall sense of space but if you are particularly tall the bulkhead could be an issue. Row 2 seems the tightest for space. Much of muchness really.

Are the J seats the same as Premium Economy....they do look quite similar.

The Y cabin looks good, but J looks a bit cramped and not really worth the premium imho, unless connecting from a long-haul flight. Would be nice if Qantas took out a row of Y, and increase J pitch by 10 inches to make it a better-valued regional product, more akin to CX Regional J

Great pics - Thank you!

I was hoping for http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/...90428d_nr.html but forgot that it is late 2010 before they start appearing on selected new 737's!

And QF is not on the list of customers for this interior. I wish QF would get rid of the 737s and replace them with A320.

Agreed - The paneling and overhead bins on the 737 just look old! The lighting looks old and well it just looks old!

They are quite similar but with a more "business" class lounge chair feel to them.

I wish they would take out a row of economy too!

I believe the next 738's to arrive will have the new interior with some exceptions - of which I am not sure. From January 2010 all 737 deliveries from Boeing will have a changed interior including blue lighting. I am hoping for the bigger overhead lockers as these 737s are international flights and the extra room for luggage would be great!

Thanks,

They are a damn pain to us than want to use our own headphones. Keeps DSE happy selling the converters though.

The J Class are 3 prong, but 2 or 1 prong will work - obviously.

How does one prong work with this?

The three prongs have the standard 2.5mm double Jack for the sound and a 1.5mm power jack for the N/C circuitry (note the Black headphones have no such power plug).

One plug may give you L or R sound channel only.

Not always the case, On JQ's A320 you only get sound in one ear if you use a 1prong headphone set. Same goes for NZ A320s,763,747,777.

You're probably correct! I just remember being told a single will work.
