BA/OW - AMS - SJO - €1380 - Business Class- Various Dates

Hi guys, this is my first post so I hope it is ok:

I found a wide range of availability for Business Class flights with BA, between Amsterdam and San Jose, Costa Rica.

https://www.google.es/flights/#searc...JO1BA2237;sc=b

Catch is a l0h overnight layover in Gatwick, but could still be interesting for some people.

The BA fare allows 1 free stopover in each direction & you can route through DFW or MIA if you want a stopover in the US. IB also has a similar fare with 1 free stopover in each direction, and has more routing options than BA.

I used matrix to build the itinerary. First step was figuring out the start / end dates over the Atlantic. A lot of the DFW/MIA - SJO flights have AA I class inventory. I used matrix, but here is a link to one sample on google flights: https://goo.gl/flights/g1LC. FYI: if crediting to AA, routing through DFW, is more EQM.

Strange, I'd make sure they have the flight #s correct & the right point of sale (i.e. SFO). If you're routing through MAD, it could be an IB fare? Are you including a stopover?

Fare rules?

Can someone post the fare rules and routing? I tried routing through NYC, but it didn't work. I need to travel regularly from Europe to NYC and Miami, so this ticket could work really well for me.

The only valid US stopovers were MIA & DFW. Routing rules allowed a few others, but there were no flights from those cities. Here's BAs (I couldn't find a direct flight from CLT/PHX to SJO):
/VIA THE ATLANTIC/
MAP CONSTRUCTED LEFT TO RIGHT AND RIGHT TO LEFT
1. AMS-BA/IB-LON-BA/IB-MAD-BA/IB-MIA-AA/BA-SJO
2. AMS-BA/IB-LON-BA/IB-MAD-BA/IB-SJO
3. AMS-BA/IB-LON-BA/IB-MIA-AA/BA-SJO
4. AMS-BA/IB-LON-BA/IB-SJO
5. AMS-BA/IB-LON-CLT-AA/BA/US-SJO
6. AMS-BA/IB-LON-DFW-AA/BA/US-SJO
7. AMS-BA/IB-LON-MIA-AA/BA/US-SJO
8. AMS-BA/IB-LON-PHX-AA/BA/US-SJO

IB's routing list is much longer, but the only US stopover I found was MIA. If you want a stopover in a different country, IB has better options.
