I travel alot to Brazil from Norway and one of the cheapest tickets to Rio de Janeiro from Norway (OSL or SVG) is booking through AA. Gives incredible amount of points ~ 45 000 AAdvantage miles ! Outbound is J and A class (don't have three cabin classes between SVG-LHR or MIA-GIG), but A380 from London to Miami.
You can also do To New York instead of Miami, but then you fly 777-300, which is ok. You get 23 hours in NYC which is nice to shop to Rio.
Returning you get 16 hours in Miami which is nice to rent a nice car and drive around.
*first post, apologize if this is already mentioned

Thanks for this! Could you please post more information regarding this fare? I can't seem to find it. I'm going to be in Europe and need to get to Rio mid-October, and would love to take advantage of this fare instead of buying two separate tickets to/from NA. Thanks!

those deals still exist in J. this is in F. are you saying you were able to get F for $2k?Originally Posted by nk15

however, i'm not seeing anything readily apparent at this price. it would help if the OP provided a link, or the fare rules.

I doubt it is F, maybe a segment at the most.Originally Posted by PV_Premier

I don't see $3,750, but on the matrix I can find $4,286 for OSL(J)-LHR(A)-JFK(J)-GIG(J)-JFK(A)-LHR(J)-OSL specifying "alliance oneworld; f bc=a" as booking code, e.g. March 5 - 14. Originally Posted by nk15

Hi, i see now, that SVG-LHR will be cancelled from November, so you have to leave from Oslo.
Go to AA app from: OSL , to: GIG,
Departure date (i.e): 21 Nov
Return date (i.e): 10 dec
You have to fiddle around to find the A380, because they also use 747 and 777. Look for departure at 7:30 AM from Oslo and takes 38 hours and 50 min.
I have booked first class to Rio and Business back.

Last year you could do FRA-SCL in F for $2,200 on AA.Originally Posted by PV_Premier

I managed to route FRA-LHR-MIA-DFW-SCL-MIA-IAH-DFW-JFK-LHR-FRA all in F.
I did it twice, as did a few other FTers.

- Business both ways is around 3410 USD, - First class one way (only LHR-MIA have three class service, the rest of the trip is business) and business return is ~ 3750 USD.
- First class both ways is about 4270 USD
But you have to order through AA.
