Saudia: Milan (MXP) to Jakarta (CGK) in Business class for $563 one way

Saudia has a great deal to Jakarta searchable via Google Flights and bookable directly through Saudia or a variety of 3rd party sources if you want.

Fares are available from End of September - July 2018 regularly. It looks like MXP-JED is on an a320 and JED-CGK is on the 777-300 which might be fully flat.

Happy travels!

SkyTeam.

Totally dry airline.

Does one need a KSA visa for transit in JED?

This was already posted fairly recently.

No. Also transit in MED and RUH can be done easily without visa. Actually, there is totally nothing of all these things to worry about, flying SV is like flying any other airline that does a transit elsewhere.

Maybe OP can look up the history since these SV fares pop up a lot here and are basically always around.

I just checked the FB miles calculator and it says 0 miles for both level and award?

EDIT - never mind, the calculator seems to be broken

But keep in mind you can't add a domestic flight into the itinerary, such as flying into Jeddah, then on to Riyadh, then connecting to an international flight. You can only transfer from international on to international. Without a visa, that is.

But this fare does not allow domestic Saudi transfer so you don't need to think about it.

Code:

TRANSFERS

2 TRANSFERS PERMITTED ON THE PRICING UNIT - 1 IN EACH
  DIRECTION.
FARE BREAK AND EMBEDDED SURFACE SECTORS PERMITTED ON
  THE FARE COMPONENT.

Code:

1. MIL-SV-RUH/MED/JED-RUH/MED/JED-SV-JKT
 2. MIL-SV-RUH/MED/JED-SV-JKT

Yep cheap fare but a dry airline I'd avoid. Im not an alcoholic but I'd like a nice glass of wine and champagne even. Oh well, some may like this fare but I'll pass.

May not be able to board to JED without visa... even for ongoing flight out of KSA

pushmyredbutton Sep 4, 2017 12:14 pm

To clear up the visa situation:

You do NOT need a visa if transiting International to International in JED or RUH.
You do need a visa if your layover is >12 hours.

There is currently no way to obtain a transit visa for almost all nationalities.

With that said, this deal is meh at best and SV biz fares pop up all the time.

Well I've never been able to board a flight (SV/AF/LH) without showing my iqama or visa to either RUH or JED, originating in CDG, AMS, BRU or FRA -mind you this may very well be gender related... - no kidding

First of all, all you mention seems to have no grounds.

1) for a flight to JED or MED or RUH originating Europe, nobody ever asked for a/my visa, since they know that you (me) have an onward itinerary. So, visa is no need to question, and so, there won't be any questions!
2) there are no passenger flights to JED/RUH originating from either AMS or BRU.

basically ANY onward SV flight out of KSA will be perfectly fine, even the 12 hour transit rule is not an issue since there is no check for this.
Once arrived in the arrival hall, you proceed to a small desk to fill out a small white transit card, and keep that with your passport and onward boarding pass.
Then proceed to the security checkpoint, shoes off in KSA, and continue your journey.

The only remark: do not book tickets on SV and onward on another airline. Since the other airline will/might operate from a different terminal, visa related problems might arise. So, a complete SV journey is perfectly doable, and the staff are friendly all around.

Because SV does not fly to TLV. Saudi & Israel don't even have any diplomatic relationship...
