Why? I was on a JAL 787 NRT-SYD and it wasn't angle flat, it was the same sky suite as the 777 and was wonderful. The 767 was the tight, uncomfortable J for me.

JAL has two different 787 configurations, unfortunately. SAN gets the angle flat still (along with YVR).

And LAX-KIX rounds the trifecta of old config JAL 788's.

I avoid JAL 787 flights at all costs.. AA has some of the best hard products in the air now, people just want to talk .... about them for no reason.

Agreed! I had the JAL angle-flat from NRT to SGN ( nd back) and it is indeed, a sub-par business class product! Good service but those seats are lacking.

AA also has a few misconfigured planes around without lie flat seats. You don't see them too often but it can really ruin your day if you wanted to sleep.

(I'm not defending JL, one of my most miserable J flights in recent years was NRT-SYD on the ski slope seats.)

The ones that are left are 757s and 767s, neither of which fly TPAC runs (of relevance to this thread). All 777s have either been retrofitted or are in the process of being retrofitted.

JAL has perfectly good 787 seats out of DFW.
AA has a 787 configuration that has the shaky seats. I'll even take angle flat over a seat that shakes every time your neighbor moves.

i.e., not flying passengers any more? This is good to know. ^

One thing I do like about the JAL seats is the shoulder room. AA lie flat is better overall, but they are tight for shoulder room on the 787 with the shaky seats.

Add LAS-pek $2350

Looks like a one week minimum, but a great fare.

Correct. Like I said, angled seats remain on a few 757s and 767s, but those airplanes are physically not capable of flying AA's TPAC routes.

Aa/dl: Las/san-pek $2034-$2148

I found this one to be a pretty good deal and on the AA return it appears you can route through ORD if you don't mind domestic first from ORD-LAS/SAN.
