That's a sale that has been running since May 19. Today's the last day, actually!

http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_...fare-sale.html

The sale page does imply that the travel dates are restricted to this year, but I got a buddy booked on that flight for next Easter on the day it launched.

It sort of came up in an earlier thread last month.

Has anyone flown both D1 / Business on the 767 and A330 to Europe? Are the 330s significantly better experiences?

IMO...the A330's are a far better experience, though I really hate the 767 seat.

I've been looking at a flight for next year on a 777 how do they compare?

Thanks in advance.

I prefer the A330 as you face away from the aisle, the DL forum has 1000 posts on which seat is the best with not much consensus besides they are better than economy seats.

I agree the A330s are better but the 767s get a bad rap IMO. If the bulkhead seats are available, they are more than sufficient for an overnight flight.

That being said the screens are quite small and old, so for a daytime flight you should avoid for sure (our last trip we were on an international 757 for RDU - ATL before getting on a 763 for ATL - LHR and it was glaringly obvious how much worse the 767 AVOD is compared to the 757 AVOD).

I fly them both about 5 times a year each. The A330s are definitely better. They give you the "pod" experience. The seat is a tad bit wider too and you just feel like you have a ton more space.

And as others have mentioned, the TV screen is older and much smaller in the 767s.

As for sleep quality, I think they're about even, though the A330 seems to have a little more length to the seat. I'm 5'11" and the 767 doesn't bother me for its length.

Is the A330 far superior to the 767? IMO, no. Would I prefer the A330? Yup. But the 767 is still a helluva lot better than the old BusinessElite seat Delta had. It's fully lay flat and fairly comfortable.

The 777 are very comparable to the A330 seats. They're angled with "pod" like shape to them. The screens are also big like the A330 screens. However, the 777s I've ridden in seem to be a tad older. The controls for the seat are a little more janky and the screen isn't as high rez, IMO. But these differences are pretty suble to me. Again, very much like the A330 experience. Better than the 767 experience.

I just bought 12 of these tickets for the summer for my commute and for getting the family back to the USofA - Thank you!

BTW - I secured each of my tickets for $1342 RT AI. It booked into Z class, as expected. What a deal!!
