(kinda weird considering how long DOH-AKL is, it's only 160 tier points... there should be more for such a long distance)
You still would need 2 BA flights. But you have a correct point.

Are you sure QR can fully cater their flight DOH-AKL? It would quite bad having nothing to eat on such a long flight.

I thought you need 4 BA flights to qualify for status?

A new status level?

I'm looking for AKL March 2018 time to watch England playing cricket (can't book yet because dates are not known). It's either QR or a BA / CX mix via HKG. As a single traveler I prefer a window seat with direct aisle access, so have been a bit put off by the QR 777. Has anyone tried it, climbing over somebody in the aisle seat?

Just flew the Sake fare (AMS-DOH-NRT) with the girlfriend. not much problem walking around the person next to you on the 777. Unless that person is longer than 1.90m. Really spacious seats, and if your lucky you have one seat for yourself and the other as a bed ^

I did QR to Adelaide solo last year, back via SYD. Sampled 3 of their aircraft and much preferred the 777 for sleeping.
