- Bay Area does not get too many J deals
- likely routes via GDL on 737 to MEX, then 787, good hard product on 787, just bring your own food
- can't determine fare class but usually this is 100-150% credit on Skyteam partners

Indeed - sorry for the missing word. Those trans pacific deals are awesome - wish we would get them for $1.2k in J like the show up in Europe all the time.

Appears that the $16xx fares aren't business the entire way, as the LIM-SCL segments are on LAN in Q, while the AM segments LAX-MEX-LIM are in "I" class. FYI, AM I class does not earn any miles on AS. Sometimes, AM D fares are only slightly higher than their I fares, but YMMV.

As I expected, the LAX-SCL fare is instead a LAX-LIM on AM I for ~$1450 and then a separate fare of $280 for LA in Q class LIM-SCL. If purchased on the same ticket, the airport taxes at LIM are reduced, leading to a sum of ~$1650.
