ET: DUB-CPT €1,400 in March 2018
I'm seeing some great Ethiopian Airlines fares for early next year from Europe to Cape Town - I have booked DUB-ADD-CPT round trip for €1,400.05 from the (wobbly) ET Website with transfers of +/- 2 hours at ADD. They use 787s with conventional 2-2-2 seating, apparently similar to LH's A380 seating.
Note that this price books into P class with miles only in ET's FF scheme. Other *A plans earn zero.
D fares are available from some OTAs at a couple of hundred more Euros.

Also note that ET has a 737 'direct' service from ADD to CPT with stops in East Africa. Be careful not to end up on that flight!

Thanks, Oliver.
We booked DUB-ADD-CPT return for €1,200 each with both flights on 787s.
I didn't post a direct link as it seems we got the last 2 seats on one leg. i searched at skyscanner.net and ITA Matrix and found the fares. Unfortunately OTAs didn't pick up the ET flights so I booked on the (rather wobbly) ET website https://www.ethiopianairlines.com/AA/EN/ .
Beware of Google searches. The first 3 items are adware, suspicious in my view. I wouldn't use ethiopiannairlines.com, ethiopiansairliness.co.uk or ethiopianairline.uk/ethiopian/airlines just in case.

You also need to beware of ET aircraft utilisation. I was supposed to be on a shiny new A350 last week ADD-FIH, but at the jetbridge I got my seat number crossed out and a new one written in, and we boarded onto one of their older 767s (and they have some real tatty ones!).
But I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't go looking at any comments on the 'other African airlines' forum...

I admit to being an ET virgin. General web buzz looked fine, but I value your experienced advice.
