Cairo-Manila on Kuwait Air $574 a.i.

Widely available in June. Kuwait Air as we know doesn't partner with jack squat so only can credit to Oasis Club their own FF program. However OUTSTANDING deal from Middle East to Philippines all in C! Long layovers in Kuwait BTW.

Great fare, but isn't the hard product on these segments ancient?

Also cheap fares from IST to MNL/BKK via KU in J.

KU has those low J fares constantly so there's no rush to book them. Also for a little over 50% of the rt fares you can book last minute cheap one-way J fares for any reasons.

KU has gradually replaced widebodies with 777 and A330 so the hard products are new.

I was looking into this Iten. for a while now, but i still have some questions.

Does all KU 777 metal have the new businessclass seats? I found a review on the "One mile at a time" blog and the new seats are the same as on KLM metal which is pretty ok for me.

When positioning strategy to CAI what would be the best?
- Position on the day of the flight from CAI and have at least 5-6 hours to transfer in CAI
or
- Position on the day before the flight from CAI Arrive 1 day early in CAI and spend a night in a hotel near the airport

other questions:
If you are not on time in CAI would the airline book you on the next flight or do you loose your seat and money?

There is a long layover of 11 hours in Kuwait, does the airline fare include a hotelroom or do you have find a hotel yourself?

any help is much appreciated!

Egyptair does, or at least did, but i have never heard of KU allowing this. Kuwait is a much stricter country when in it comes to alcohol.

Agree - you cannot legally bring booze into Kuwait - all bags are screened for bottles at Customs control. I cannot imagine KU (state airline, all KU's Kuwaiti employees are treated as government employees) would let you drink booze...

Ok
im not really an alcoholic - it just feels like part of the business class experience is having a nice glass of red with dinner!

i would take a few little bottles of spirits to test this, as long as you don't try to take them through customs I would think you would be fine, the worst that would happen IMO is that the FA's would say no to consuming, but other than that I cannot see any legal repercussions..

Another decent fare is the CMB-FRA route at $1063 USD )
