UL: BKK-HKG $319 in J rt

There are generally Mon/Thur/Sat flights between now and May where you are able to get this fare. Looks like it is operating their a330 so you will get lie flat product. Not the cheapest fare but pretty darn good if you are comparing it to other one world partners.

They used to offer ex HKG for c. HKD2,400. But fare appears to have doubled now. Better to book econ and bid for the upgrade.

Does anyone know if this is on the A330-200 or the A330-300? I'm flown both on SIN-CMB (RT) and the hard product on the 300 is superb. Both were excellent soft product. I really enjoy UL J.

I've heard it's random from the Cabin Crew.

By looking at https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ul890 it's A330-300 most days.

I used this fare 3 or 4 times per year since I moved to BKK, as the fare difference (AA) BKK-HKG-LAX in coach (use SWUs to UPG,) vs. HKG-LAX makes this a winner and I don't have to deal with a CX coach flight in their 20 across (OK, exaggeration, it's only 16 across,) that either doesn't earn AA RDM's or is a terribly long connection. Doing this next week and an easy way to build in a stopover in HKG.

Each one I've done has been the A330-300 with lie flats. Very nice.

Did the bidding thing once; it's comes out the same as the I fare without all the last minute hassles.
