Yup. Airline shown in the flight number on your ticket and BP determines which page of earning tables gets used.

This is only sometimes true. The partner-earning rates on the low end of their fare tables can be really low or even 0; it's not hard to find scenarios where AA's EQD is significantly better. Once you get to PE or higher, though, it's much more likely to be true, but you should do the math anyway to be sure.

Came across an interesting wrinkle

1. you can route Cai-Lhr-DUB-Jfk-Phx-HNL

2. free stopovers are permitted

3. there is no APD from DUB - meaning that breaking the journey in the UK/Ireland and continuing from Dublin is genuinely free as you are not even hit with extra APD for staying in LHR over 24 hours (because you don't!)

thought this might be interesting to people.

Did you get such an itinerary to price? It's the first thing I looked at...

On ITA yes - EUR1636 for 1200 TP

haven't tried to price on AA or otherwise yet as I'm still trying to shoehorn in my exact requirements for stopovers on the return journey.

I may work up a simpler itinerary for a shorter trip and price that up.

My experience has been that usually if ITA prices it it can be found somehow- but it might require a GOOD TA or the serevices of someone like dutch_122 to make it happen (whatever happened to him? - has he completely left us for the sunnier climes of the QR Board?).

A few years ago I had a matrix itin that I kept trying to get the BA Gold Line to price, 3 times failed, fourth time just worked - either they used the system differently, they had more knowledge, or something had changed about the availability - but I eventually got ticketed.

similarly Propeller eventually got something ticketed for me after probably 3 months of calling airlines and so on.... it's almost always possible once Matrix says it exists if you find someone patient enough to try.

Impressive. I threw everything I had at ITA but it wouldn't spit anything via DUB out. Even giving it specific flight numbers.

Nice! Well, I'm happy with the schedule I have. Another 40 (or 80) TPs would have been nice but I'll live.

It is still there, however, with only one daily BA flight out of CAI you will have limited number of days with good availability in I class to us the fare and fly out of CAI.

As I've said elsewhere, I have come to suspect that BA is restricting this fare on a flight-by-flight basis beyond the availability of I class fares. Can't prove it beyond ITA not finding journeys when EF reports I availability on the relevant flights.

I noted less I availability when looking at married segments vs. standalone flights.

I noted also if you book the outbound sectors on BA with connection via LHR and transatlantic travel on BA flight number then availability in I is more open but an additional $ 265 will be added to the total fare in BA YQ.

Newbie Here, first post ... found this, and the outstanding thing is it's available for 1494 EUR around early october via ITA; when trying to book on priceline price gets bumped up about 300 USD.
ON AA can't input enough segments to get a booking, even after input JFK-HNL as one segment.
How can I schedule a stopover in PHX? can't seem to do that in ITA to price it

Better that CAI is DUB, depending on your dates for travel. Just booked DUB - LHR - JFK - LAX - OGG. Better positioning flights.
