UNLIMITED FREE STOPOVERS PERMITTED ON THE PRICING UNIT IN ADD
You don't want to stop over in ADD, trust me. There might be a HIP check in place.

OK, I went back and looked at the thread from last year's Ethiopian "mistake" fare debacle. And now I am sorry I booked today. I can see that last year's facts were very similar to what is happening now in terms of routing and "mistake" pricing. Most troubling to me is that some folks who booked last year didn't get any notification that Ethiopian was going to downgrade their tickets until months after purchase and very close to the time of departure. Uggh. That means unless I am willing to fly in Ethiopian economy (and I am not), I can't commit to any nonrefundable lodgings or activities in South Africa! Yuck. Yuck.

I might be wrong, but afaik there's a special law in NORWAY which doesn't allow a cancellation due error-fares. Something like a very strict consumer protection law...

therefore:
a) does anyone remember an ef from Norway that was cancelled before (and there were prior...)
b) does anyone know a norwegian ota?

Not sure about the laws, but during the BA flash sales in 2015 I booked 3 flights from OSL, FRA and PRG respectively. Only the OSL (Norway) one was honoured.

But nothing we say and do and wish for matters. It's a waiting game. Just sit back and see how it plays out if you booked it. That' what I will do.

We booked two tickets to ADD for £425 each for October. If they stick we'll be delighted, but equally if they downgrade us and offer 75% refund, we'd be happy with economy flights for £100 each! (Although not as happy)

Granted its not a first world city, but can you elaborate what wasn't nice about the city ?
