You can get LHR-SYD on MH for £1500-ish. More information: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/premi...0-1500-mh.html

Also available sometimes on VN or QR for around £1700.

Currently deciding between QR CDG-PER or MH LHR-PER. Thinking hard product might be slightly better on QR? Price is only £200 difference which will be swallowed up by positioning etc, so much of a muchness, boiling down to best onboard product. Thoughts welcome!

Biased opinion is QR all day long, but depends on whether you are genuinely willing to position bearing in mind you'll be taking 6 flights rather than 4.

Worth remembering that you'll have 2-2-2 seating at some point on both of those itineraries (MH A380 LHR - KUL, and QR 777 DOH-PER) so that's not a differentiating factor

The 2000 pound mark seems pretty standard for EU-SYD. You can do OSL-SYD for that amount on SQ for instance (including their A350 and A380). Also works from ARN or GOT.

Now that looks better than F on some airlines...

SQ looks great. We are xxx-PER, think we'll do QR as the 2-2-2 works for us travelling as a couple. Ex-France we are £1800 with plenty of avios positioning flights.
