Full price is ~2700 minus the $400 aarp discount. The 10% Visa discount ends this year so that doesn't apply. Not as good as previous years' deals but it's something.

Good enough deal to get?
I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I travel to Europe for vacation yearly, usually in summer. I just wonder if this deal is good enough to get. Last October, thanks to another fellow forum member here, I got an awesome deal of about $1600 (w/ AARP disount in business class) per head from SJC to AMS and then ZRH to SJC. I have families in Zurich that I would like to meet.
This deal, however, does not allow for returning from ZRH and is several hundred $s more. On the other hand, business class fare discounts are hard to come by, esp. originating from the west coast. It seems like Star Alliance is not matching it, nor is this deal mentioned in travel blogs such as thepointsguy.com.
So, my dilemma is: should I grab this or not? Thanks very much.

Thanks, frebay. When did this fare sale happen? Also, did it apply for summer travel? I did see a BA J fare sale several months ago, but it was for travel up to March/April 2017, if my memory is correct.

I don't know if they are going to do it this year because by this time last year they had already thrown down two flash sales, both around Sep/Oct, I think.

The thread title should state the fare, not the fare less some discount.
Even when it was available, this was a $2700+ fare. Which is not a bad deal, but it was not a $2300 fare.

I believe it was Oct purchase for July travel. Such a great deal, if that shows up again, I'm going to buy 3 trips.

I agree. Many of us can't take advantage of the AARP discount, so it's not relevant for us. Perhaps the discount fare can be put in parentheses and the regular fare put as the title?

Why can you not take advantage of it? You can sign up for AARP at any age and get the discount.

You can sign up for AARP online for $12 and then buy the BA ticket thru the AARP portal. It's the only way many of us on this forum purchase ex-US BA tickets so I don't think it's that off to put it into the topic.
