Don't know what the new terminal is like - If I were to hazard a guess - I'd think it's unlikely, but I'm just guessing

Most likely not. The fare is non-refundable and the change fees is 2,000 THB. You usually can't switch the country of origin - you can switch to depart from BKK and pay 2,000 THB plus fare difference.

The HKT-MEL/SYD fares were around $680-690 USD. The current SIN-MEL/SYD is $1,340 SGD (~$960 USD). About $270 USD or 40% more expensive. If you are based in SG, probably better to take those ex-SIN and save the positioning to/from HKT.

ex Th is 30 day ticket, ex Sin is 3 months ticket, that is more useful for ppl like me based in SYD, I'm not going to south east Asia ever 30 days....

Oops, I thought you were talking about LHR not MEL/SYD.

New with better food options and attentive service, but really small. No escaping the smell of the food or anyone talking on a cell phone.

HKT-LHR was 40,915 all in, i.e. approx US$1,170
So for the LHR fares, the difference is almost 80%
I guess difference is lower for AUZ fares, as someone else has mentioned
