Don't know what the new terminal is like - If I were to hazard a guess - I'd think it's unlikely, but I'm just guessing

No transfer counters in new Phuket terminal

Hi guys!

There are no transfer counters in the new terminal. You will have to clear immigration to check in.

It sure is. The ticketing deadline was 21 October for the ex-TH fares. The slightly more expensive ex-SG fare sale's ticketing deadline is 31 October.

I'm departing on the 29th - I wonder whether it would be possible to change from HKT to SIN.

Most likely not. The fare is non-refundable and the change fees is 2,000 THB. You usually can't switch the country of origin - you can switch to depart from BKK and pay 2,000 THB plus fare difference.

Define slight. I'm seeing fares that are almost twice as expensive from SIN.

Thx

The HKT-MEL/SYD fares were around $680-690 USD. The current SIN-MEL/SYD is $1,340 SGD (~$960 USD). About $270 USD or 40% more expensive. If you are based in SG, probably better to take those ex-SIN and save the positioning to/from HKT.

ex Th is 30 day ticket, ex Sin is 3 months ticket, that is more useful for ppl like me based in SYD, I'm not going to south east Asia ever 30 days....

Oops, I thought you were talking about LHR not MEL/SYD.

MH departures from Phuket

Does anyone know how many hours prior to a flight departure does the MH check-in counter open? Also, does MH offer the use of any lounge in Phuket for Business Class passengers?

I've been through. Saw no transit options. HKT is not a transit airport; it's 100% O/D traffic (and about 99% of that is "D").

New with better food options and attentive service, but really small. No escaping the smell of the food or anyone talking on a cell phone.

SIN -LHR is S$2,953 all in i.e. approx US$2,100
HKT-LHR was 40,915 all in, i.e. approx US$1,170

So for the LHR fares, the difference is almost 80%

I guess difference is lower for AUZ fares, as someone else has mentioned

Thanks guys, get this would make it pretty much definitive that there are no airside international transit options.
