What a lot of people have been waiting for.... and thought might be not achievable at this price following the Brexit currency de-value

Indeed an excellent fare, thank you for posting!
Just a heads up: Seems to be only available during the holidays. Was about to book, but after checking the hotel prices, I am not so sure anymore. The hotel prices may offset the flight savings...

Kona usually has cheaper hotels, and nice ones... and if you go to LIH, just go up to Hanalei or Princeville. Less than an hour from the airport, and prettiest part of all the Islands....
Of course, Obama will be in Kailua on Oahu... my old home town... and surf is usually big on the North Shore on Oahu.
If going for a week, check Redweek or Vacation Candy for a time share for rent -

Care needs to be taken on routing; AA has a huge fleet, and while some of their longhaul planes are new, some are shockingly aged and unacceptable for anything more than a few hours. The fare is fair -- and not a bargain -- if you end up flying one of their old beaters. LHR - JFK - LAX, or LHR - LAX offer the best AA hard products. (Note that the fare also allows transfers to Alaska Air i.e. at Seattle to/from Hawaii).
Also, care needs to be taken re checked luggage, as baggage transfers between AA and BA are, ime, shockingly poor at most U.S. airports. HBO is strongly recommended.
Forewarned is forearmed.

It should net you 800 TPs with BAEC:

Routing via JFK adds even more tier points (1,060):
AMS-LHR J 40
LHR-JFK J 140
JFK-LAX J 140
LAX-HNL F 210
HNL-LAX F 210
LAX-JFK J 140
JFK-LHR J 140
LHR-PAR J 40
Even more tier points are available if routing via PHX (JFK-PHX yields 210 in F), but the 737 to PHX is a very serious decline in hard product comfort.
