I hate to be so disparaging of Google Flights or OP, but it is hardly sufficient to show a link of Google Flights results that suggests you call a TA to book at a certain price. There is no fare in any GDS I have looked at that would support that contention... the TK fares are the lowest and closest to this, there is no UL or KL or DL fare in this range. Happy to be proven wrong, but CMB has ceased to be a place where TAs have access to better local fares that arent filed in the GDS.

Airline and fare basis really should be a requirement of posting in this forum. It would negate a bunch of false positives.

Interesting find considering KLM's 787. Can be booked directly on KLM website, all legs with KLM/Delta.

I'm afraid I disagree. This may discourage a lot of folks from posting anything at all. When I first started playing this game I did not even know what the "fare basis" was.

OP found something he thought might be of interst to others, and although he struggled to properly research the fare/links and all that, he posted it anyway. Others helped and we have now eliminated Sri Lankan Airlines and come up with a good Sky Team deal.

I understand the frustration sometimes, even I see it, but working together and helping out shoud be the way to go.

And if any post is really of no use I'm sure MODS will be on top of it.

That is true. If fare basis is required to post, then I wouldn't really spend the time to make sure it works and wouldn't post anything at all. As skyhighlander said, the tickets have been improved upon so it's really a starting point. This has happened many other times, where someone else posts a non working fare, but I found a better one due to their idea.

It's good that others are matching but for those dependant on Sky Team it's a really good fare. Too bad I won't be able to get to CMB in Nov. Only if that was in Jan next year!...

Note that on DL it can be hard to find the fare code as often the link, which should also lead to the complete fare rules, just doesn't work. Also, after the ticket has been purchased, the link disappears, although you should be able to get the fare code from the fare calculation line of the receipt (but for a while DL wasn't displaying the fare calculation either on receipts).

All the ST fares I've seen have HIP check, so in all likelihood, a stopover would substantially raise the price. There are a bunch of EY and QR fares that allow stopovers without HIP check, e.g., the BKK-SFO/JFK fares.

There appear to be 2 separate fares here, and they have some subtle differences:

DL ZPRLK: is an MPM fare (13185 miles via N Atlantic) with no HIP exception so no stopovers without triggering a HIP check and a higher price.

KL ZPRLK: is a routing fare and my understanding is unless listed there is no HIP check on a routing fare (this is my recollection from the old CMB-US NW fares). There is no HIP statement in this fare, so these rules should apply:
BTW, both fares are extremely date constrained and mea culpa, why I didnt find them the first time I looked ;-)

Also- I saw at least CMB-DFW too, so maybe other cities in N America. DL fares must ticket by Aug 4, KL fares Aug 10. DL fare has no child discount but KL has discount 25%
