CX PE EWR-E/SE Asia rt sub~$1400
https://goo.gl/7CvEkj
Plenty of availability in Aug/Oct. Mostly on Mon/Tue departure.
sample itinerary
Aug 15, EWR-HKG (+1; on CX899)-PEK (+1; on CX332)
Aug 17, PEK-HKG (on CX6111 operated by CA111)-EWR (CX890)
Booked into E class, which earns 1.5 EQM on AA; however is CX6111 doesn't qualify since it's not operated by a OW carrier. Total is about 26000 EQM (~5 cpm). Given it's PE, 5 cpm seems very attractive.
For those of you who worry about the hassle in obtaining a China's visa, sub ~$1400 non-stop fare to HKG also available:

The trick seems to be that MUST BE TICKETED VIA ORBITZ. Don't forget you can cancel for free within 24 hours of purchase.
I don't know if this is a mistake fare but I just ticketed w/o issue. My bet is it won't last long ...

Can squeeze more and route to MNL via HKG.
Example: http://goo.gl/flights/4bec (sub $1400 when I checked).
Should be 26,330 EQM (5.26 CPM) Big chunk of miles in one trip.
Or to BKK would be 27,344 EQM http://goo.gl/flights/u8QH

So on some routes, a segment could be flown by Dragon Air (although with a CX flight number). Should the miles credit just the same regardless of the metal flown so long as the flight numbers are CX?
Would seem so, but wanted to see if maybe I was missing something.

Just an FYI, this is an official CX sale, there's info on their website here:

For those collecting AA miles, here's the AA page on accruing with CX flights:

Change the drop down box. Book by date seems to 5/31, but the details say 6/15.
