Earning on Hainan Airlines

Effective date for earning miles on Hainan Airlines: August 24, 2015.

Elite Qualifying Flight Miles: Earned flight miles and premium cabin bonuses on Hainan count towards Elite Status.

Economy Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in Y class of service, plus 25% Bonus Miles.
Earn actual flight miles* flown in B, H, K, L, or M classes of service.
Earn 50% of actual flight miles* flown in Q, X, W, U, or V classes of service.

Business Class Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in C class of service, plus 50% Bonus Miles.
Earn actual flight miles* flown in D class of service, plus 25% Bonus Miles
Earn actual flight miles* flown in I class of service.

First Class Cabin: Earn actual flight miles* flown in R and F classes of service, plus 100% Bonus Miles.
Earn actual flight miles* flown in Z class of service, plus 50% Bonus Miles.
Earn actual flight miles* flown in A class of service, plus 25% Bonus Miles.

This is completely incorrect.

On all flights RDM is Base + COS + Elite Bonus.

Likely, you flew in a class that doesn't have a COS bonus, such as "I" on Hainan.

Yes, this is correct.

It amazes me how much misinformation is spread here. This information is clearly available on AS's website and not open to debate.

Hmm...... OPs screen shot of the reservation shows business class / booking class R. Whereas the AS layout states R-class as first class. Kinda wondering what this actually is and what earning rates actually apply?

Usually the fare class should automatically triggers the right mileage credit from AS. But I would take screenshots so you can have something to escalate later should they post incorrectly

It's business class but credits as First class to AS - people that have taken R class flights with HU and credited to AS have reported as such
