I thought German national ID cards were accepted?
Does it really matter where you travel from?

The UK isn't a part of Schengen anyway... as far as I know anyway.

Even if it's not Schengen, a EU ID is sufficient to go to LHR, passport is not required.

Looking forward to the trip to CUN in early March. Hopefully no cancellations...!

I've read about cancellations with OTAs so far: ORBITS, Gotogate, etc. Booked today with BA after Ebookers let me down last time (LGW-PER, J)

I entered my payment details on BA and then when I proceeded it took me back to the home page and I couldn't get it again, it was unlikely the OTA would honour it but I had to try. Oh well . . . !

When I tried to change the dates because I wanted to see whether more than 7 days would work, the thing crashed and returned me to the main screen to book...but it looked like an older version of the webpage.. the font looked smaller, so I just entered the details again and it worked that time.

The weekend dates had at least so many extra digits!(booked in czech currency). Pays to be flexible

BudgetAir is another place that has requested further funds apparently (seen on another forum), so that's likely to be another place not honouring.

Last edited by jose2000; Aug 27, 2015 at 4:02 pm Reason: Wrong company: originally I said 'CheapoAir' when I meant 'BudgetAir'
